An experienced executive in both the public and private sector, Mike was also a Lead Partner within KPMG’s People Practice – People Powered Performance, which advised clients in the UK and Globally on workforce and HR solutions designed to address their key people and talent issues to drive business performance. His key area of focus was Workforce Transformation including workforce analytics within Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare. In addition, he was client lead partner for FTSE100 and Government departments.
In his executive life Mike was Corporate Services Director at Four Seasons Healthcare (owned by private equity – TerraFirma), which employed 34,000 people in over 500 locations. He was responsible for Human Resources, IT, Sales and Marketing, Strategy and Government relationships.
Mike was Chief People Officer and Director General Communications, Marketing and PR at HMRC, which employed 75,000 people. He had overall accountability for people management capability and deployment across HMRC and the delivery of HR Services.
Mike also worked for SIRVA (owned by Private Equity – Clayton, Dubilier & Rice) in a number of roles including Vice President HR-EMEA/Asia Pacific. In addition, he has been Chair and Non-executive director of Moving Services Trustees Ltd (Pickfords’ Pension Scheme).
Mike now works as an independent business advisor to a number of clients ranging from Scale up companies to larger more established businesses that are expanding into new and emerging markets.
