Developing and Delivering Strategy

GROUP COACHING

Participants:

Leaders of the business who are responsible for developing, implementing or adapting the business strategy, and are keen to focus on ensuring the success of their own strategy.

Format:

The programme comprises four x 120-minute sessions, each six weeks apart, to review, develop and revise business strategy. Includes additional offline preparation and activities pre- and post-session.

Learning objectives and content:

By the end of the programme participants will have developed, refined, refreshed or accelerated their organisation’s strategy. This masterclass blends the latest thinking about business strategy with the need for it to be applied successfully in your organisation.

Strategy is the challenge of moving the organisation from where it is now, to where you want it to be in the future. Crucially it is about making choices that result in a distinctive, compelling course for the organisation, and then ensuring that everyone understands what the strategy means for them, their role in making it happen, and that their thinking and decisions are guided by the right strategic priorities.

Sessions:

  1. Review – understanding the shifting context for the business, now and in the future; key elements of the strategy; how we will win; performance measures – what success looks like.
  2. Revise – how and when we need to correct our course, what refinements we need to make, the resources we need to secure – and successfully managing the range of practical operational issues that will deliver progress.
  3. Engage – the vision, guiding principles, key messages and audiences, and how we sustain momentum.
  4. Embed, Refine and Deliver – how we accelerate execution of the strategy: the lessons learnt, immediate priorities, and how to ensure that we build an agile, adaptable learning culture and system that supports our strategic goals.
