Develop Your Social Media Fluency

by | Mar 6, 2020 | On Point

At a time when trust, connection, business relationships and mobile technology are converging and assuming huge significance and impact, leaders are increasingly expected to have a strong social media presence. However, many still view social media as a broadcast channel, not as a way to connect.

Try applying these tools to become a truly social leader:

Start using it to listen to your customers. Social monitoring and engaging with followers is the best way to collect real-time market intelligence.

Focus on connecting instead of promoting and think about building relationships. You want to be spreading the good word about your company while also interacting with others and answering questions from concerned stakeholders.

Remember that you build your personal brand whenever you engage on social media, so, at the least be authentic and generous. You are an ambassador for yourself and others.
